Where do I go to learn about Audio Production and what degrees are offered?

-Audio Production as a degree is a Bachelor of Science degree or an Associate's degree and requires 18 months to 2 years of schooling.

-With an Associate's degree, you can be either a Live Sound Technician, or a Audio Production Assistant.

-If you want a job creating more of your own music, then a Bachelor of Science degree is recommended. These programs are harder to find, but the general name they go under is "Sound Recording Technology".

-These programs are very hands on compared to an Associate program. Because of their hands-on nature, they can't be done online. Also, this is why it is a 6 month longer program.

-Other degrees that aren't necessary but can be helpful are; a degree in composition, a degree for an instrument performance, like piano, a degree for songwriting and a degree in music theory.

-Colleges that maybe beneficial in receiving a degree are;

   -the Berklee School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, or their Valencia, Spain campus,

   -The Art Institutes (however this exact program may or may not be offered at your nearest campus,

    contact the admissions office for a more in-depth answer.),

   -Full Sail University,

   -The Los Angeles Recording Institute,

   -the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences,

   -and finally the McNally Smith College of Music.
